Boy, I sure didn't know what I was talking about. There is way too much work here! I need to go to the beach or somewhere else warm!! This is me with Sioux's work gloves. They've taken a beating. I'm now supervising the kitchen tiling.
It all started at the 2002 Castang Family Reunion in Hagerstown, MD...
When Castang cousins Murpee and Sue were leaving the Reunion, Castang sister Rebecca said she really wanted to keep in touch. But with everyone living so far away, how could we do it without spending time and money traveling all over? Sue mentioned the traveling gnome. You know, the one from the Expedia commercials that travels for you. Rebecca said she didn't have a gnome, but how about a dollie she got one year for Valentine's Day? So now this dollie goes to different family members and we take her on our travels and send back the photos.
Why the name "Batesy"? At the first reunion the Uncles were calling each other "Bates". Since that wasn't very feminine, we changed it to Bates-y.
Batsey may never leave SD! She looks like she's moved in!
